WEIHENSTEPHANER (GERMANY)

Weihenstephaner HefeweissbierThis wheat beer is golden yellow in appearance and its aroma is of spices, bananas and orange. The palate is much of the same and full of carbonation with a strong yeast and bitter sugar aftertaste.  The Weihenstephan Abbey has run its brewery continuously since 1040 AD, although its roots extend as far back as 768 AD.
